VLPS Appointment of Press Officer
The VLPS are pleased to announce tonight the appointment of Larry Sweeney as Press Officer for the organisation. The appointment was made by Mr John Gill. Larry Sweeney, like all other VLPS staff, will receive no remuneration for his services. The VLPS are committed to exposing legal corruption in Ireland.
The principal aims of the VLPS are as follows:
1. The setting up of an independent body to regulate solicitors and monitor their activities.
2. The setting up of an independent board to recommend and monitor the appointment of judges and to deal with complaints of judicial misconduct and where necessary institute proceedings to have judges removed for misconduct - this would require a change in the Constitution.
3. The monitoring and regulation of the Office of the DPP. Further information will be made later concerning corruption in the Office of the DPP.

Republic of Ireland Investment Warning
The VLPS would like to warn all potential investors, private and corporate, against investing in Ireland or making any property purchases until such time as the Irish State deals with the serious issue of judicial corruption.
To illustrate this point, the VLPS wish to draw the attention of every potential investor to the case of Michael and Zofia Mescall who lost their property courtesy of an Irish court. This case can be studied on our website Case Histories.
The VLPS would like everyone who reads this press release to write or email the Irish Minister for Justice demanding compensation for the Mescall family for the loss of their property. This investment warning will not be lifted until the recommendations of the VLPS are put in place to deal with judicial corruption.
Once again, we in the VLPS urge every citizen who wishes to see an end to corruption to contact the Irish justice ministry and demand the case of the Mescalls is addressed immediately.

PRESS RELEASE, 18 May 2008
The VLPS would like to alert the public to judicial corruption and in particular to Larry Sweeney's case relating to some very strange goings on in the Office of the DPP. The VLPS call for an immediate inquiry into the case highlighted concerning the DPP decision to prosecute an innocent man for a crime which he did not commit. The DPP then dropped the charge without explanation after attempting to blackmail the victim into silence. The DPP further failed to prosecute after being given clear evidence of the corruption and perjury of a solicitor. A Garda file sent to the DPP also went missing for 3 weeks before the DPP reached a decision not to prosecute a corrupt solicitor. The VLPS want the Minister of Justice to intervene and immediately review the activities of the DPP.

Republic of Ireland Investment Warning 2
Further to our previous warning re corruption in Ireland and in particular the case highlighted concerning the Mescall family and the breach of their constitutional and human rights by the illegal seizure of their land, the VLPS would like all investors to sell any shares held in Irish companies, to sell any government bonds held and for overseas investors to close any bank accounts held in Ireland. The VLPS wish to send the strongest possible message to the State that ordinary citizens are fed up to the teeth with judicial corruption.
The VLPS would like to draw the attention of the public to the issue of massive corruption in the office of the DPP. Until the issue of the Mescall case is addressed, there is a full and comprehensive investigation into the office of the DPP and an independent body is set up to monitor the activities of solicitors and judges, the VLPS will continue to issue investment warnings to ensure investors worldwide vote with their feet and refrain from any kind of investment in the Republic of Ireland.
