History of the Society

The Victims of the Legal Profession / Victims of Irish Solicitors Society is a rapidly growing organisation with more than 500 members. The Society was started by Mary McDonnell from Galway, John Gill from Clare and John O'Connor from Tipperary in early August 2001. The first meeting was held at the Hudson Bay Hotel, Athlone on August 17th, 2001.

A critical analysis of the immoral and unethical conduct of many members of the legal profession was made. Examples include:

  • Large sums of the Client's money being removed from Trust accounts without the Client's knowledge, and every effort being made to cover up.

  • Large-scale perjury in the Courts by members of the legal profession, in many cases with the wholehearted support of the Judiciary.

  • Altered and distorted Contracts and Wills - falsified to deprive clients of most or in some cases all of what they were worth.

  • False registration of property and in many cases small, inaccurate prices appearing on the Deed of Transfer; in effect, denying the State the full amount of Stamp Duty.

  • In many cases, files going missing and many old people and some not so old being left with the loss of the Sale of their entire property or inheritance.

While our research and investigations are ongoing, we can safely say that a substantial section of the Irish legal profession is seriously corrupt, and we will do our very best to keep you informed and updated.

Comments by the President of the Society

Hundreds of people who have taken complaints against solicitors and lawyers are going through a living hell because there is no independent legal ombudsman to investigate complaints against the legal profession, according to a local group. Victims of the Legal Profession Society (VLPS), which has been holding meetings nationwide since last August and has 500 members, was formally launched yesterday and is pledging to tackle what members believe is widespread malpractice among the legal profession.

"Too many people in this country have suffered enormous financial loss. They have suffered physically and mentally and have been totally destroyed. Their lives are a living hell," said VLPS president Mary McDonnell. Apart from pledging to fight for the appointment of an ombudsman, VLPS members promised to campaign for better legal information and to fight for the civil, human and constitutional rights of all those experiencing difficulty with members of the legal profession.

"At this point in time, our legislators have failed to recognise the need to bring about the necessary changes required to meet the needs of ordinary lay people having to deal with the legal profession," said Mrs McDonnell.

Mrs McDonnell said the Government had failed in the commitment promised in its 1997 general election manifesto to appoint a legal ombudsman to investigate and oversee complaints made against the legal profession. All of the VLPS members have had complaints against solicitors rejected by the legal profession and many have lost thousands of euro following failed complaints to the Law Society.

"From first-hand experience, it is a total waste of time making any type of complaint to the Law Society regarding a solicitor. The Law Society regulates the affairs and discipline of their own members. This surely cannot and does not represent independent oversight," said Mrs McDonnell.

Under the Solicitors Act 1954 to 2002 the public can complain to a disciplinary tribunal set up to deal with misconduct cases against solicitors.

A complaint can be made through the Law Society or a member of the public. However, since the tribunal consists of 10 solicitors and just five lay members appointed by the minister for justice, VLPS believes there is not enough independence to ensure fair procedure.

According to the group, the appointment of a legal ombudsman would bring far-reaching changes to solicitor-client relationships, improve the manner in which cases are dealt with and eliminate malpractice which members believe is prevalent.

Press Release, June 2004

Following a very successful meeting of Victims of Irish Solicitors at the Royal Hoey Hotel in Athlone on Monday night, the 31st of May 2004 which was attended by a large crowd from all corners of the country, it was agreed that the way forward was to take six or seven cases against offending Solicitors to the High Court.

From nine cases who are willing to go forward, six have been chosen as pilot and test cases. The six who were chosen have agreed to meet in the near future to draft the Notice of Motions and back up sworn affidavits.

The cases selected will highlight serious problems with members of the legal profession and our hope is that we will not be hindered or obstructed by the Law Society and its members, and that the Court Offices will assist and allow us to have our cases heard at the earliest possible time after they have been stamped and lodged with the Court Offices.

The president Mary McDonnell is very anxious to move the process forward because of the continuing inaction of the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell and his refusal to meet with the Victims over the past year-and-a-half.

Mary referred to the many old people who were unable to attend the meeting because they are so traumatised and demoralised after many years of being misrepresented by the legal profession. Most of the problems concerned Probate Wills and property in general, including the false registration of property; many of the so-called "mistakes" were deliberate and for the sole benefit of the profession themselves.

It is hoped that the above test cases will expose the extent of the skulduggery and crookedness of some in the legal profession.

Meeting Report, 27 January 2005

RE: Meeting of Victims of the Legal Profession at the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow, Co. Cork on 27 January 2005.

Forty-nine signed the attendance book but unfortunately the only room available to us could only accommodate forty, so we left the door open that the ones in the hallway could hear.

Fear was the greatest obstacle that we had to overcome. Fear that if they opened their mouths and demanded their just and lawful rights that they would lose their homes, property, their everything to the feared Legal Profession. It is difficult to imagine that in this day and age in Ireland, such a small group of what I would call mobsters has instilled so much fear into the people; but for the greater part, I think we got the message across.

There was unanimous support to join with the rest of the counties in a show of strength to certain offices in Dublin on a day and date to be fixed, and while we organise and rally the remaining counties it was suggested that we hold protests on the streets where the offending solicitors have their offices, preferably when there are big crowds of people around and on days when the Courts are sitting. We got twenty volunteers to come at short notice on any given day.

Overall, it was a very successful gathering and many people left the meeting with a lot more courage and confidence than when they arrived. Many could not attend for some reason or another and sent a message.
The calls are still coming in from 9 a.m. this morning with incredible praise for Niall Prenderville for the way he conducted the broadcast. Thank you, Niall.

John Gill on the Legal Profession

The VLPS/VOIS has made great inroads and progress in highlighting the devastation and traumatic suffering of so many Irish people at home and abroad at the hands of the corrupt criminal element of the Irish legal profession. Where money, property and wills are concerned, this Mafia-like mob shows no mercy. Complaints come from all walks of life: school teachers, veterinary surgeons, members of the clergy - like the old vulture, wherever there is the likelihood of an easy kill they won't be found wanting. To this criminal element the Irish Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights is but a toe-rag and as far as a person's democratic rights are concerned - Zimbabwe is the closest connection for many of our members.

For those who doubt the seriousness of the corruption, VLPS/VOIS will in the near future publish their findings with names and addresses of the offenders. We are constantly reminded as we move around the country of the many people who were found belly-up in rivers and lakes or hanging from the rafters of old sheds as a direct result of the merciless conduct of the thieves in the legal profession. To quote a bank official they - meaning the legal profession - have got away unhindered for so long with criminal activity that they think that it is their God-given right.

We, the victims of this criminal element, now have an opportunity and it is our democratic constitutional right and right under the European Convention of Human Rights to protect and defend ourselves against those criminals; and like all other criminals they must and will be named and shamed. When the truth is revealed we have no doubt that the devastation caused to the most vulnerable of people and the amount of money robbed will be far greater than that of the bank robbery in Belfast.

Press Release, September 2005

Following many disturbing calls and complaints in the month of August where it was alleged that at least some members of the legal profession gave tentative permission to have property entered onto and unlawfully interfered with in West Cork, Cork City, Sligo, Kildare, Tipperary, Clare, Kilkenny and Wexford, it was agreed that the only solace we could offer to those aggrieved people was to ask them to give us a brief history of their appalling experience, not more that two pages and not to be afraid to name culprits. So we could email the story to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Michael McDowell, T.D. and it will expose the criminal element of the legal profession for what they are in a name and shame programme.

Now that the guns and ammunitions of the North are out of use and destroyed, child molestors and drug barons and all other thieves and robbers are being hunted down and put behind bars, we don't see any reason why the criminal element of the legal profession should be allowed to plunder, rob and destroy the most vulnerable in our society. How many criminal codes are there in this state and to who or what code are the criminal element of the legal profession answerable to? Does it surprise anyone why in the recent past some people have given two fingers to our court system? If you were surprised up to now visit our website, CrookedLawyers.com over the next few weeks and it may throw some light on what is happening within the legal and judicial system in Ireland. Why is it becoming necessary to build a Berlin wall around the four courts? Our Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Michael McDowell, T.D who, unlike his predecessor, is not a waffler, is well aware that our legal and judicial system is corrupt but in political jargon he is still not convinced of the need for an independent commission to put right the wrongs of the low standards party that he is sharing power with.

Minister for Justice, many months now have elapsed since you got from the people of Ireland what you asked of them: denial of an overall majority for one party. You have the power and the wherewithal. Exercise your power; thousands of vulnerable Irish people and others need your help. It will never be delivered by the low standards party that you share power with.

Press Release, 17 October 2005

LEGAL PROFESSION WRONGDOINGS MUCH MORE WIDESPREAD THAN JUST OVERCHARGING BY SOLICITORS: WE WANT JUSTICE NOW, NOT CONTINUING CORRUPTION!

There has been huge disquiet among the public for some time now regarding the injustice meted out to them by corrupt members of the Judiciary at the highest levels.

There has been much ado about the Redress Board concerning victims of abuse, not just sexual but at the hands of unscrupulous and greedy lawyers. But these are not the only ones suffering - some people have been treated far worse. The former have a voice, the latter are trying to get a voice. For example, there are people in their 80s and 90s who have been trying to solve their legal problems for years - these elderly people want to make wills to tidy up their affairs before they leave what appears to many to be this godforsaken Earth.

They are denied truth, justice and access to the courts due to what appears to be the collaboration of judges and barristers at the highest levels. The latter use every means, fair and foul to ensure that these people do not solve their legal issues to any satisfaction.

In the courtroom, "due process" is being constantly abused and people's lives turned upside down and shattered at the hands of corrupt and often incompetent judges. The question is, who should compensate these victims of abuse, the Government who employ these judges or the Judiciary?

In the case of Shannon v Shannon, Elizabeth Shannon and her sister are in danger of being unlawfully evicted by their brother from their house and farm (their only home, livelihood and security) which they believe is theirs according to the law of the land as they have been living in beneficial possession for 26 years. Currently, Elizabeth Shannon is being denied her constitutional right of access to the courts to have a hearing of her Motion for Judgment in default of defence on the foot of her civil bill where she is seeking a declaration as to her "Squatter's Title".

The above matter came for mention before Judge A. Kennedy in Sligo Circuit Court on 9/3/2004. Before she was afforded time to enter a replying affidavit to the other side's cross-motion and get a date fixed for the hearing, the judge went into private chambers, and when he returned he dismissed her claim. When Elizabeth asked for reasons he retorted, "It's done now, construe it as you like and do what you like with my order." Elizabeth appealed to the High Court where the hearing came before Judge DeValera who dismissed her appeal. The matter still remains undetermined.

In addition, Elizabeth appeared before the Supreme Court on 9/12/2004 with judges Hardiman, Geoghan and Herbert presiding concerning an application for leave for Judicial Review. In short, despite the fact that only two proceedings went to full hearing, Judge Hardiman put the onus on Elizabeth to get permission from a High Court judge via a High Court Registrar to take any other proceedings against the farm of her late mother.

I believe that this last action smacks of dishonesty and cover-up, and is designed to delay, block and give a warning signal to put the corrupt judge in place and to make sure that her hearing will take place in a courtroom with no witnesses present and where the inevitable outcome will be dismissal and costs to the other side, who have not appeared in person at these cases since 2001, so sure are they of a verdict in their favour.

Also, Elizabeth has been called vexatious and frivolous by Judge Hardiman because she dared to exercise her constitutional right of seeking to protect her property rights. This man's prejudice has led to other related cases, such as a solicitor and client costs issue; also, Elizabeth was assaulted and put in the hospital by her brother, and the resulting case was tainted and never resolved.

Has any court, in the context of the constitution, the jurisdiction to place such obstacles in a citizen's path of access to the courts? Why are the Shannon sisters being victimised and who is ultimately responsible?

Another example is John Gill's litigation experience - this man has been tormented over the years trying to get his property and monies out of the clutches of his lawyers, who are overcharging and seeking to defraud him in collaboration with unscrupulous judges including Judge DeValera.

There are many other people in a similar position and they will not suffer silently any more. Someone has to be held accountable. The website www.crookedlawyers.com bears testimony to that.

Anyone who can identify with the above stories should contact John Gill, Public Relations Officer of the Victims of the Legal Profession Society at 061 360436.

Press Release, 18 October 2005

The Victims of the Legal Profession Society telephoned the office of the Law Society of Ireland at Blackhall Place on the 14th October 2005 and were unable to get the free telephone number, the excuse given was they were unable to find the number. The caller was given the impression that the number was given only to the unfortunate people appealing to the Residential Institutions Redress Board.

The Victims of the Legal Profession Society want to make it abundantly clear to the Law Society and the Government that there are thousands of other people all over Ireland in every county suffering at the hands of this greedy grabbing mob and we are not going to sit idly by and allow them to ignore us.

At this moment in time (this sitting of the court's session) there are many cases listed for hearing where Solicitors, Barristers and with the full support and assistance of some ROGUE judges will try every trick in the world of corruption to steal from the most vulnerable of decent people. And I list, Farms of Land, Building Sites, Life Savings, Money from Clients Accounts, Wills, Inheritance and the homes they now live in. We have done the research, there is no need to fear. They are on the run; we have broken the veil of secrecy. The tactics used are as follows: Perjury, Forgery, Deception, Collusion, Concealment and every other low trick imaginable.

The devastation and destruction caused to the health and welfare of so many families is beyond belief. Many have given us their phone numbers to contact them if you are in any doubt.

The Mafia and Ku Klux Klan were never in it with this mob. I lived among them in New York, Chicago and Toronto and never witnessed the appalling conduct and fear that is now so prevalent throughout this country of ours.

On October the 11th a group of victims held a placard protest outside the Circuit Court Office in Sligo town in support of two sisters (Elizabeth Shannon and her sister) who were defending themselves (see Case Histories).

Our next outing will be on the 25th of October outside the court house in Washington Street, Cork city in support of a victim of horrific injustice from Glen Garriff, in West Cork.

All victims in Cork city, county and surrounding counties are invited to attend. The protest begins at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 25 October 2005.

Essay: The Law is a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing!

It is generally assumed that the law consists of certain fundamental principles, abstract bodies of reason, and a repository of wisdom, which serve the interests of justice in every society. It is held that the principle of fair play informs judicial decisions and opinions, and that due process and procedure is carried out dispassionately without personal, political or professional prejudice. However, not all of these assumptions can be justified. In fact, on many occasions the opposite is chillingly the case. The law is often executed arbitrarily in the interests of the few who dispense it, rather than for the benefit of the many that it is supposed to serve. It is shot through with discrepancies, inconsistencies, irregularities and peculiarities. If the law is an ass, it is a very clever and devious one.

The law acts as a mechanism for class control. It consolidates the hierarchical order that governs humanity, protecting the privileges of the elite and the powerful at the expense of many others. In every society there exists a certain group of people who, for all practical purposes, are outside the influence of the judicial process. The law therefore operates too often as a vehicle of the establishment. It is engaged in a conscious and surreptitious strategy to reshape culture, and to transform society in general. By constantly twisting the precepts that many people hold to be absolute, it will eventually change reality itself. If the truth is turned on its head often enough it will inevitably assume the shape that most accords with the demands of the moment. When this happens, any perversion of thought can be practised.

The law consists of a set of codes and rules that guide society, and help to regulate its operations on a daily basis. Those who interpret and implement these standards exercise enormous influence over people in general. The more obscure the rules, the more power is vested in the hands of those who translate them. More often than not the objective is to turn simple truths into a maze of complications, ordinary tenets into a tapestry of confusion. This way no one understands. When information is continually convoluted, even the most determined will eventually resign to the fact that they cannot even understand the most basic truths.

The law is therefore knowledge which is being constantly moulded and used as a weapon against the supposed common herd. It creates a mystique which, apparently, only the most brilliant legal minds can fathom. Its objective is not to enlighten, but to disempower. It garners power to the top. It burrows its claws into every interest, economic, social and political. It is an invisible monster, parasitical on society and dangerous too.

If the institutions of a nation are the vehicle, 'jurisprudence' is the engine. The 'devil's advocates' have an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of all the mechanisms of state. They know where power resides and how it can be retained. They appreciate the subtleties that have to be invoked to preserve the appearance of conformity. Having formulated the laws that constitute the fundamental ethos of the state, they are in a great position to manipulate them.

The legal fraternity inveigles their way into everything. They bring within their sphere of influence family, finance, farm and firm. No area of privacy escapes their clutches. No level of intrusiveness is considered too embarrassing for their gaze. By penetrating into every organ of the state, they cement together a pyramidal structure of power that is almost invincible.

In contributing to, and sharing in a pool of knowledge, many advocates cross all ethical boundaries. They tamper with information that should never leave the precincts of the private individual. However, by passing the bloodied knife, everyone is implicated. Operating within a system more insidious than the Masonic lodges, very few can afford to be pure. Principle is thus displaced by expediency, and morality by might.

Only by surrendering the weight of personal identity to the bigger group can power be attained, and held indefinitely. When all influence emanates from the centre, control can be exercised much more rigorously. The weakness of the individual cell then becomes the strength and vigour of the overall organism. The lone legal functionary has power only in so far as he ceases to be his real self. If he does not forfeit his higher inclinations he can be very easily squeezed out. This process of isolation can be effected with remarkable ease.

When the mills of the legal profession start to grind, they do so comprehensively and ruthlessly. Very few within their ranks can challenge this potency. Only occasionally do the dark secrets that lurk beneath the portals of jurisprudence become manifest. The law is not only a profession; it also embraces many of the attributes of a cult orientation. Those who break the rules do so at their peril.

The objective of many in the legal profession is to operate at a certain level of inefficiency. An all-round slowing down of the process is an effective method of control. But incompetence does not impair their ability to turn over a big clientele, or a quick profit. Two and two can amount to five, but only when it affects the welfare of the public. Once this version of logic is accepted any perversion of truth can be tolerated.

There is nothing as lethal as a mixture of wilful arrogance and professional incompetence. But, policed as they are by their own body, they are, in the main, unaccountable, untouchable to a great extent. The grandiloquent tones they affect hide a deep truth. Bar the misappropriation of funds, which no amount of gobbledegook can explain, they can be brought to book for virtually nothing. In the meantime they can manipulate every area of life. Like every cartel, their remit is without end.

In many instances lawyer's allegiance to their colleagues supersedes the duty of care to their respective clients. In a conflict of interest that loyalty is always honoured. The alliance therefore is more horizontal in nature with the respective professionals on top, and the public beneath, rather than the vertical relationship of advocate and client on either side of the line. The power association is one of top to bottom across the board. Just like in the Cold War, where those in control of the competing power structures had an understanding, the real war was often waged against their own people. The intonation 'understanding' exerts a strong resonance in the legal world. It also carries a higher moral charge than does confidentiality.

The legal elite live in a self-contained universe. The more they become estranged from ordinary people, the more they have to rely on their own colleagues for succour and support. This further reinforces their delusions. They are presently changing the way many people conduct their lives. With the threat of compensation claims, in time it will be impossible to do almost anything. The legal fraternity is thus controlling society by stealth. Their brilliance is remarkable in that they can effect this process with such panache, and with such bravado. Criminals also try to dictate, but not with such impertinence.

However, there are many in the legal fields who work diligently for the greater good of humanity. They strive, against the odds, to bring into existence a more equitable system of justice. They labour tirelessly on behalf of their clients, and do not succumb to the expediency of the moment. They represent the proud standard bearers of a profession that has, to a great extent, lost its way.

John Gill on his controversial conversation with Mayo State Solicitor Seamus Hughes, the new proposals to abolish the office of the Taxing Master, and the new global coalition Transparency International.

There is a growing fear among Solicitors and Barristers that the holiday period they have enjoyed over these many years is drawing to an end. A holiday period that was steeped in corruption, collusion, deception, perjury, and maintained by threat and intimidation.

This holiday period in case you are under any illusions is far from over; there are many thousands of individuals and families all over the 26 counties of Ireland today with the threat of large bills of costs and the fear of going to jail hanging over them.

You no longer need to read the report of the chairman of the Bar Council's trip to Zimbabwe; just see the research that is ongoing by the Victims of Irish Solicitors for the past six years at Drumline, Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co. Clare.

While in Dublin on Thursday the 5th of January 2006, I picked up a message from the State Solicitor for Co. Mayo in Westport - at the time, I was just asked to contact Seamus Hughes. So I phoned the next day to discover that it was an office. I was told that Seamus Hughes would phone me back later. Seamus did phone back later, but I was still in Dublin meeting with victims of corrupt solicitors.

On my return to the office of the VLPS in Co. Clare, I was told to make contact with Seamus Hughes. I returned the call to 098 28422 at 9:50 a.m. on Monday morning, the 9th of January. When I introduced myself, Mr Hughes offered to phone me back, which he did.

Seamus Hughes seemed to be taking issue with some references to himself that appeared on the website CrookedLawyers.com and demanded to have them removed. He went on to talk about what he described as a Dutchman who he told me had a very nice wife. Mr Hughes went on to explain about a court case with what he described as 6/15ths of costs paid and 9/15ths due to his Office. This was in connection with the construction of a house. I asked Mr Hughes where this awful individual with the very nice wife lived and he told me that he lived in a village outside the town of Westport but did not give me the name of the village. [Read the article in the Sunday Business Post about Mr Hughes and the Dutchman, which contradicts what Mr Hughes said, -Ed.]

It would appear that Mr Hughes is going to hold me, John Gill, responsible for what he disagrees with on the CrookedLawyers.com website. However, I did not know anything about the problems of Mr Hughes and the gentleman from the village unknown, or indeed his very nice wife.

To get away from Mr Hughes's problems for a moment, I felt it necessary to remind him that I also came from Mayo down near Ballycastle and that nine out of ten of my family emigrated from Mayo and brought back to this country hundreds of thousands of dollars from Australia, New Guinea, Canada and the United States, only to be robbed by the crooks and Mafia-like gangsters of the Irish legal profession. Citing just one firm of crooks, John Casey & Co of Bindon St., Ennis, Co. Clare, I also told Mr Hughes that we were in the process of organising protests throughout the country to name and shame the rogues/criminal element of solicitors and barristers.

Whether it was to impress, intimidate or threaten, I will never know, but Mr Seamus Hughes went on to impress upon me that he was a solicitor of thirty years standing, and the State solicitor for Mayo, and also was an elected TD for Mayo and Fianna Fail, and a friend of Tony Killeen [T.D. for Co. Clare, -Ed.] My answer to that mouthful was that I was a member also and that Fianna Fail was as corrupt as hell.

Mr Seamus Hughes did give me some relief when he told me that he had read my story on the CrookedLawyers.com website, and did admit that it was appalling. Mr Hughes was under the impression that the Law Society was adequately dealing with rogue solicitors. I told Mr Hughes of our members' impression of Ken Murphy and the Law Society. I also reminded Mr Hughes of the veil of secrecy that was maintained in Ireland over the years by intimidation and threat to cover up the criminal conduct of the so called High Society, namely and mainly the Legal Profession and their fellow travellers, the Fianna Fail Party for the greater part. This, I told Mr Hughes, I was reminded of so many times in the city of Chicago. It is now four full days since I received the threat from Mr Hughes, and still no sign of his allegation in writing.

It is a fact that the corrupt conduct of solicitors and barristers has destroyed many Irish family homes and lives, with no small input from especially, but not entirely, Fianna Fail. Corruption in Ireland is a way of life for the solicitors and barristers of the 26 counties, maintained by a well-placed number of failed solicitors, elected around the country to the mainly Fianna Fail party. They are situated in the North East, sunny South East, misty South West, Mid West, West, and North West; some of whom we will deal with later.

Corruption is a deadly blight and blemish on any society, and the fact that it is tolerated and allowed to fester by an elected Democratic Government is just not acceptable.

It is now firmly established that the Irish legal profession, its solicitors and barristers, and the Political Party nominees to the judicial system for the greater part are corrupt. These are the findings of most of the Victims, who have been dragged through the Courts, battling against serious corruption, fraud, perjury, mass distortion of legal documents, forgery and distortion of Wills to deny the most vulnerable of people their inheritance and their human rights. It will now not surprise anyone if Seamus Hughes will one day be sitting on the bench in judgement of others.

We have copies of the Irish Independent and the Irish Times of the 11th of January 2006. The only solace that many of us can draw from the news about Judicial Reform is that the Office of the Taxing Masters is being abolished. We hope that this will come about sooner rather than later because we believe that this Office, and some people in particular within this Office are sickeningly corrupt (will expose later).

We, the victims of the greedy, grabbing element of the legal and judicial system in Ireland DEMAND that our Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform send out a clear message to this rogue and corrupt element to cease and desist their unlawful, perjurous and contemptuous efforts currently in the Courts all over the country to unlawfully steal from us our inheritance, farms, building sites, holiday homes and money from Clients' accounts. They will, Minister, be named and shamed without fear, favour, affection or ill will, so help me God!

As assistant Chairman and P.R.O. of the Victims of the Legal Profession Society, I personally would like to thank the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Micheal McDowell, T.D. for referring my file to the Garda Commissioner.

Good news just in by fax: there is a global coalition against corruption based in Berlin called Transparency International which by coincidence confirms all I have been trying to get through to the Irish people for many years. Their logo states: Corruption Ruins Lives (Fight Back).

The lack of progress in the fight against corruption is an ongoing sign of poor government and continued absence of the rule of law. (In the Republic, it is as a result of so many in the legal profession and judicial system being linked to the Government - what is known down the country as Hack Jobs).

The corrupt list in this fax are Bosnia & Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Romania, and when our enlightened members return next week we will add to this list the Republic of Ireland and its legal and judicial system.

Corruption is very much the way of life in the courtrooms of the Republic of Ireland. As I explained to Mr Seamus Hughes (the State Solicitor for Mayo and proud Fianna Fail T.D.) I personally had to endure perjury, forgery, deception, collusion, distortion of legal documents and false accounting at the highest levels in the legal profession and judicial system. I have been dragged through the Courts on 62 occasions by 51 solicitors, barristers, and Junior and Senior Counsels without any harm; or I should say that the TRUTH prevailed over monstrous corruption and fraud.

To our Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, as P.R.O. of the Victims of the Legal Profession Society, I once again beg you to please send out a message to those corrupt members of the legal and judicial system in Ireland who are destroying and have destroyed the lives of thousands of vulnerable people in Ireland. As minister of a democratic government, it is your moral duty and responsibility to deal with and put a stop to raging corruption.

We have no doubt, Minister, that you are well aware that there is an epidemic of corruption in this country. It is our intention to ask Berlin to nominate journalists who will listen and hopefully expose the inner rot of this country. Something must be done, and the sooner the better for all of us.

An appalling Fraud with a Fianna Fail connection

Bill & Jackie Bullen of Grove House, Firkale, Glengarriff, West Cork have sent a caution to the Registrar of Land Registration in the Waterford Section, Cork Road, Waterford, that the property that was purchased and paid for in good faith is not to be interfered with; that there is to be no interference, amendments or alterations to Folio CK061731F; and that any interference with Folio CK061731F is unlawful and contrary to the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001. The caution is dated the 11th of February 2006.

A notification has been sent to O'Donovan, Murphy & Co. Solicitors, Bantry, Co. Cork. Denis O'Donovan, Solicitor, who is a Fianna Fail T.D. is also the Chairman of the Dail Committee dealing with Judge Brian Curtin of the Southwestern Circuit. This, we are told, is an appalling case of blackmail, fraud and corruption which Denis O'Donovan T.D. has been confronted with in his Constituency Office on many occasions but failed in his duty both as an elected member of the Dail and with Solicitors O'Donovan, Murphy & Co. to deal with the matter.

Notification has also been sent to Solicitors John J.M. Power & Co, Hospital, Co. Limerick who have lodged a plenary summons at the Central Office of the Four Courts in Dublin against O'Donovan, Murphy & Co. and Diarmuid McCarthy, Engineers of Bantry, Co. Cork who for some reason best known to themselves are trying to escape and abandon their responsibilities.

Section 6.-(1) of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 clearly states that a person who dishonestly, with the intention of making a gain for himself or herself or another, or of causing loss to another, by any deception induces another to do or refrain from doing an act is guilty of an offence.

Evidence of this blackmail, fraud and corruption is available in Bill & Jackie Bullen's Legal File.

Article 3 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001 - The Liability of Legal Persons:

1. Each Member State shall take the necessary measures to ensure that legal persons can be held liable for fraud, active corruption and money laundering committed for their benefit by any person, acting either individually or as part of an organ of the legal person, who has a position within the legal person.

2. Apart from the cases already provided for in Paragraph 1, each Member State shall take the necessary measures to ensure that a legal person can be held liable where the lack of supervision or control by a person referred to in Paragraph 1 has made possible the commission of a fraud or an act of active corruption or money laundering for the benefit of that legal person by a person under its authority.

3. Liability of a legal person under Paragraphs 1 and 2 shall not exclude criminal proceedings against natural persons who are perpetrators, instigators or accessories in the fraud, active corruption or money laundering.

To quote from Murdoch's Dictionary of Irish Law - COERCION: It is an offence for a person to take specified actions, without lawful authority, with a view to compelling another person to abstain from doing or to do any act which that other person has a right to do or to abstain from doing. The specified actions include using violence to or intimidating that person or injuring his property. This is what basically what happened to those who were eyewitness to the state of those unfortunate people during and after their ordeal at Cork Court House.

A call just came in from a Dublin victim who confirmed to us that there are an organised number of solicitors' firms within the 32 counties who dictate and impose rules which must be strictly adhered to. This information was given to the gentleman many years ago by a Fianna Fail Minister for Justice who was not himself a solicitor or barrister. He did after some persuasion let me have his name.

Does this not indicate to all you victims out there that there is an Irish legal and judicial Mafia who, like the Mob, have plundered, robbed and destroyed many thousands of decent Irish families? The only recourse open to us now is to name and shame the thugs and organised gangsters who have your health and well-being destroyed.

The honourable member of the Labour Party who said that the numbers who are destroyed are unknown but they are in their thousands was making a very factual statement. Transparency International must take heed and expose the real corruption in Ireland, the corrupt institutions of the Irish State that have for so long been hidden away and covered up by threat and intimidation by the mobsters of the Irish legal and judicial Mafia.

Our Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Michael McDowell cannot and must not allow anyone connected with the Irish legal or judicial system to have any input whatsoever into the setting up of the Independent Commission and Ombudsman. Minister McDowell, we demand an INDEPENDENT Commission, nothing more, nothing less. It is common knowledge that you recognise and respect the laws of Canada; we now call on you to let us have a Canadian Commission. You have an opportunity, and the opportunity is now. Please do not let us down.

Press Release, 7 April 2006

I have had a recent success story in the High Court on Circuit in Ennis, Co. Clare, the details of which are on the website of the Victims of the Legal Profession Society. It is heartening to see that if you are persistent enough and call a spade a spade, i.e. use the correct terminology with dogged persistence, success will come.

The office of the VLPS received a phone call from Minister Michael McDowell's Constituents Office in Dublin after they had gone to the VLPS website, to advise that the Minister will be in the South Court Hotel, Cork Road, Limerick City on the 22nd of April 2006 where the Progressive Democrats are holding their annual conference. They confirmed that the VLPS could hold a peaceful protest to show the Minister the extent of the corruption in the legal profession and the traumatic suffering caused to so many people by a greedy grabbing profession, devastation caused by the theft of property, mutilation of wills and other legal documents and every other fraudulent and criminal act imaginable, all of which is denied and ignored at the highest level, and even more disturbing is the fact that the solicitors and barristers are aided and abetted by members of the Judiciary.

The VLPS will have a booklet of documented evidence on the extent of the corruption and what must be said and done if the many thousands of victims are ever to receive justice.

There is an election on the horizon and we will be demanding that the forthcoming Independent Commission / Ombudsman will come from outside this corrupt Irish Republic.

We will be impressing on Minister McDowell what the dogs in the streets are aware of - the fact that this little republic is riddled with corruption and that the Minister should call on a country that we all know has a respectable and acceptable legal and judicial system, a country that the Minister favours above most: Canada. Political hacks and yes men must be shelved until such time as the low standards in high places are put to rest and taught a lesson.

We have an opportunity and the opportunity is now - for a few hours, forget about the sheep and lambs, the cows and calves, and the mother-in-law and assemble with us at the Court House at Merchant's Quay, Limerick City on the 22nd of April 2006 at 10.30 a.m. with your banners and placards.

The booklet of documented evidence will no doubt be of enormous help to those who were and are deprived of justice by our legal and judicial system.

John Gill visits the Revenue Commissioners, 28 April 2006

CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION, CORRUPTION - THE VICTIMS OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION ARE ABOUT TO EXPOSE SERIOUS CORRUPTION, COVERUP, EXTORTION IN THE OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS IN DUBLIN CASTLE IN AN INVESTIGATION INTO EVIDENCE IN ITS POSSESSION.

On initial investigation and insider information, the Legal Profession at the highest level are the godfathers and instigators of this serious criminality and state terrorisation of vulnerable people in a bid to unlawfully extort from them money that they do not owe.

On Thursday the 27th of April 2006, a small group of Victims of the Legal Profession from Clare, Mayo, Roscommon, Donegal, Kerry, Leitrim and Dublin walked from the Disciplinary Tribunal in Bow Street to the Chairman's Office of the Revenue Commissioners to get answers to questions already requested on numerous occasions in writing. The Chairman's Office was notified on many occasions that we would be calling, the notice was sent by fax on Monday the 24th of April 2006, and I quote from the last six lines of that letter: "We have the evidence, we know that there is cover-up and we have the courage to tell the TRUTH. I hope to call to Dublin Castle on Thursday the 27th with a witness or two to find out if we can get honest, answers. No excuses will be accepted, please make sure that there is someone to meet and listen to us."

We arrived at the Revenue Commissioners Office in Dublin Castle in the forenoon of the 27th of April 2006 and all nine of us walked up to the reception desk and asked to speak to Private Secretary Mary Deeley who we were told was not at work. We were asked if we had an appointment and we produced the letter dated the 24th of April 2006. After some phone calls were made from the reception desk, our letter was more or less rejected but we were adamant and insisted that we were not going to take no for an answer. Some of the Victims reminded the gentleman that we were taxpayers and if the shoe was on the other foot that the Revenue would not take no for an answer. There were only three seats in the little waiting space where we huddled together and decided not to leave until we spoke to some one and got a satisfactory answer.

Private Secretary Mary Deeley was not at work or so we were told, and MichelIe Kennedy, who signed the last letter, was not available. When we asked for John O'Shea we were told that he did not work in this Office. While it may be true that John O'Shea did not work at that Office, we told the gentleman that the correspondence from John O'Shea did come from the Chairman's Office at Dublin Castle. After the elapse of some considerable time it was as obvious as the nose on our face that we were being hoodwinked and sidelined with no one having the decency to face up to the truth.

After a long delay, one John O'Shea appeared on the scene and asked for John Gill, and within minutes was surrounded by nine Victims who have serious issues of cover-up and corruption in the Revenues dealing with the legal profession. John O'Shea who signed much of the correspondence to me, John Gill, over many months has a lot of questions to answer and when asked by a number of Victims/Witnesses if he would give an honest and straight answer, John O'Shea answered yes. I demanded that he meet with me personally and with witnesses present; John O'Shea agreed.

I reminded John O'Shea that he had my file for a very long time and that he was evading the questions and protecting the legal profession and was trying to confine the questions and investigation to John Casey & Co Solicitors, Bindon Street, Ennis, Co. Clare and John O'Doherty, Auctioneer of 85 O'Connell Street, Limerick City.
I said that Tom Tynan, Official Assignee and Bill Holohan, Solicitor who swore false affidavits, altered and mutilated legal documents, laundered money and concealed vital evidence from the Courts. I also mentioned S.T. O'Sullivan of Bindon Street, Ennis, Co. Clare who is in possession of Euro 40,000 of stolen money belonging to me which given to him by Tom Tynan and Bill Holohan to cover up for the criminal conduct of John Casey & Co, Ennis. These and many others are in receipt of corrupt payments and all of this money must be accounted for honestly and truthfully and without delay. John O'Shea assured me in the company of eight witnesses, some of whom asked him if he would assure me, John Gill, that he would live up to this pledge, and Mr O'Shea did so.

All corrupt payments accepted from Tom Tynan and Bill Holohan, Solicitor must be accounted for and paid back without delay. The falsified accounts and original falsified documents in the Taxing Master's Office (Taxing Master Flynn and Brendan Minnock), Aras Ui Dalaigh, Inns Quay, Dublin 7, next door to the Four Courts must be taken up, together with the altered, distorted and mutilated legal documents and perjured documents held by Tom Kinirons at the Examiner's Office, 15-24 Phoenix House, Phoenix Street, Smithfield, Dublin 7.

Mr O'Shea was also confronted by witnesses from Leitrim, Kerry, Donegal and Dublin with similar issues and there are many more examples from all over the 26 counties of evidence where the legal profession have robbed and denied the State and honest Taxpayers millions of Euro by criminal falsification of documents and false administration of Wills with the assets vastly and maliciously underestimated. I did quote to John O'Shea Eamon Dunphy's message on RTE 1 that our country is RIDDLED with Corruption.

We will in the near future bring to the notice of the Revenue Commissioners at Dublin Castle many issues of tax corruption, evasion and avoidance by the Legal Profession and demand that they will be dealt with on equal terms with all other taxpayers.

For me, John Gill, I say to John O'Shea that I have had my fill of procrastination and cover-up for Tynan/Holohan. I demand my files and money, honesty, truth and justice. We are trying to come to grips with all of the other wrongs, drunks, drug barons, child molesters, paedophiles and bank robbers who are invisible for the most part and costing the State a fortune to detect, yet here we have names and addresses of other serious criminals who are allowed to go free!

Press Release, 1 August 2006

The Victims of the Legal Profession Society has uncovered what they believe is a multi-million euro theft of a high-density development property in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan in a situation where they believe that use was made of insider information, non-disclosure of interest, false accounting, falsified Inland Revenue documents, undervaluing of property and threats to VLPS members who came forward to give evidence to the Courts.

A man was put behind bars for Contempt of Court for 17 days because he refused to yield to blackmail and surrender to threats. However, through hard work and persistance, the VLPS has brought about his release without having to purge his Contempt of Court, or any other conditions. The VLPS proved that the opposition's case was based on fraud. Detailed story online.

The VLPS is also proud to announce that less than four months after its official launch, the new RateYourSolicitor.com website has already received 200,000 hits. It is the Society's stated aim to make this site an authoritative and indispensable tool for every user of legal services in Ireland.

A Canadian former lawyer talks about fighting corruption

I used to be a lawyer British Columbia, Canada, and withdrew from the profession in 1999 when I realized the bad guys in power were after me. I spent 40 days in jail and they destroyed my law practice because I was blowing the whistle on legal / judicial corruption in Canada. I was not one to crusade for justice generally, only doing my duty for a client and I don't like being screwed around.

It is very bad over here but there are glimmers of hope.

I recently applied to re-join the bar but the Bar Society is demanding I undergo a psychiatric examination. The local Law Society typically uses character assassination by psychiatry to discredit a whistleblowing lawyer but I was ready for them and turned the tables by putting the shrink and the lawyer asking for the evaluation under investigation.

So far, I have defrocked one Chief Justice who had to resign when I caught someone manipulating the court game behind the scenes, forced the resignation of one Deputy Attorney General, one Deputy Minister, at least three government solicitors and contributed to the death of one Supreme Court Judge - although there is speculation his death was at the hands of biker gangs who he worked for.

I have managed to persuade the police to launch two investigations but no charges ever get laid because... well... the local Attorney General must approve all criminal charges.

The best advice I can give you is to never give up, study the judges very carefully and document every case of foul play and report it to the police.

There is an old Irish proverb that provided me some guidance:
It is better to know the judge than to know the law.

I started studying the judges and along with a few colleagues we have now developed new tools of forensic lawyering that exposes crooked judges and crooked lawyers. This is advanced legal research not taught in law schools and is based on the best approaches of the behavioural sciences. Forensic lawyering is actually not terribly difficult and is based on solid police techniques and behavioural science.

Criminals, like crooked judges and crooked lawyers, generally have an M.O. - modus operandi. It is Latin for method of operation. Basically, a judge who is crooked is likely to be crooked, time and time, again in the same way. Similarly, a crooked lawyer will use the same technique over and over again.

Now, it is hard to persuade anyone a certain judge or lawyer is crooked on the basis of one case, especially your own case, so when you find a crooked judge or lawyer you have to look for other cases where it is alleged he misbehaved. Most often there is a pattern.

For example, here in British Columbia there is one judge who sells real estate to insiders at below market prices. A property is up for court sale and a lawyer, usually one who is notorious on these kinds of cases, walks into court and asks that it be sold immediately to his client. The lawyer brings a bogus appraisal and the property has not been on the market for more than a few days or at all. The judge orders the sale lickety-split and the owner loses thousands or millions in equity depending on the value of the property.

This is a racket that is facilitated by insiders in the court administration because someone arranges to put the co-operative judge on the case and tells him what to do in advance. In Canada, in every province, we have a Chief Justice who assigns the cases to certain judges. I am not sure who assigns the judges in Ireland but if you have bad judges showing up in similar cases, time and again, then someone in the court administration is in on the game...

When there is an auction type sale through the courts the idea is to get the highest price not the lowest. So, you know something smells bad when there is a quick sale at a low price. Usually, the former owner knows he was cheated but cannot prove anything. However, when you get three, four, five or six cases and the same thing happens you have "statistical proof" the judge is a crook.

What we have noticed is that usually there are a number of lawyers who are in the same gang as the judge and they show up on these crooked cases. With lawyers you do the same thing. You look for patterns.

Some lawyers use false affidavits. It is always hard to put down a lawyer who uses one false affidavit in one case. But, my experience is that certain lawyers have a reputation for using false affidavits and they have usually burned a number of litigants. So, instead of complaining about one case to the Bar Society you go out and get the information from a number of cases and put together a package that is irrefutable from a number of sources. Again, the "statistical proof" is what convicts the lawyer because a good liar - lawyer - can usually wiggle out of one case but it is hard to wiggle out of three, four or five.

Often a losing party will be more than happy to co-operate to put down the lawyer who put him down. Sometimes, the winner will turn on his lawyer and admit his lawyer suggested he swear the false affidavit. This is very effective but not as common as finding a co-operative loser.

Basically, you and your colleagues have to be vigilantes and start collecting cases and building your data bases about crooked judges and crooked lawyers. As you learn the techniques you will be able to predict the outcome in advance.

For example, in Canada we just had a huge case called the "Air India case" where some Sikhs blew up an Air India jetliner in the early 1980's. It fell in the ocean off the coast of Ireland killing over 300 people - mostly Hindus.
In a big case like this usually there is a jury trial but in this case the accused selected to be tried by judge sitting alone, which is an option under Canadian law. That was a red flag. Then it was announced that judge J. would be the judge. That was another red flag because judge J. has a reputation for fixing cases. The government spent millions trying to convict the accused but judge J. let him walk. Judge J said one of the key witnesses could not be believed because her evidence was contradicted by some facts from another witness and some pictures. So, the judge found a "reason" not to convict. The only problem was that the prosecution had the evidence in their files which would have explained the contradiction but never presented it. The reason they did not is because the prosecutor was in on the game. So, Judge J could always say - well it wasn't my fault because I was just looking at the evidence.

Another trick frequently used by lawyers is not giving the judge the relevant law. This is especially popular when a person is self-represented but sometimes both lawyers are in on the game. The judge can then rely on bad law to make a bad decision and no one can finger the judge.

Another group you have to watch is the Freemasons. They are a big group in western Canada and I have heard a lot of stories of secret hand signals and special words in lawyer's submissions that tell the judge "I am a Freemason and I want you to help your brother". The lawyer or the client is that Freemason brother and, as you probably know, the Freemasons have taken an Oath to help each other. There was some very bad stuff in England a few years back involving Freemasons.

When you get your information about a particular lawyer or judge that is convincing, put it together in a package that is simple to read and follow. I usually put the necessary information in a binder that has a covering memo and has all the evidence indexed, tabbed and cross-referenced to the text of the memo. Read it over several times and make sure it makes sense and is simple to read. Basically, the lawyer or judge broke the local criminal code so you are making a case that this took place and you have to prove it. The report should be addressed to the police because they have the authority to lay charges and recommend a prosecution but on the report it should be indicated which other offices are getting copies such as the Minister of Justice, the District Attorney, the Prime Minister, etc.

If the document is well done and professional looking the police will take it seriously especially when you circulate copies to others in the system. The common crimes are fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice.

It is a lot of work but it is worth it.

Re: RateYourSolicitor.com High Court case, Sep-Nov 2006

On Sept. 1st, a lewd comment was left on RateYourSolicitor.com about a Dublin based barrister, Jayne Maguire, who rang John Gill, P.R.O. of the Victims of the Legal Profession, to ask him to remove the comment. She explained to him that a male colleague had left this comment about her. When John said that he had no control over the website, Ms Maguire initiated a defamation suit against John through McCann FitzGerald Solicitors, who told John he may face imprisonment if he does not have the offensive material removed as per a High Court injunction issued by Judge Michael Hanna. The comment was removed on Oct. 4th. See Indymedia article for a report and photos of the proceedings at the Four Courts in Dublin on Oct. 5th. Judge Michael Hanna disqualified himself and the case was turned over to the President of the High Court Mr Justice Joseph Finnegan. John's report of the proceedings of the 19th of October. The proceedings of the 3rd of November were an even greater farce than usual - the case was deliberately kept off the books so that the media were kept in the dark and Judge Finnegan lost his cool and threatened to seize the assets of all the members of the VLPS (get the full report in John's seventh Affidavit). Judge Finnegan ordered John to have all material relating to Jayne Maguire removed from the website (even though the remaining material is not libellous and John does not own the site) by the 23rd of November or he will face four months in prison. You can watch John on the RTE News on November 20th. The comments about Jayne Maguire were removed from the site by the RYS Management as a favour to John, who was used as a hostage for the cooperation of a foreign website in an Irish lawsuit! The case was struck out with no order as to costs. Judge Finnegan has been promoted to the Supreme Court.

Report of a VLPS protest in Naas, Co Kildare, 15 May 2007

FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ON THE STREETS OF NAAS, COUNTY KILDARE

On Tuesday 15th May 2007 at 12.30 a.m. or thereabouts, a small group of Victims of Irish Solicitors from Counties Laois, Kildare, Dublin, Mayo, Roscommon, Wexford, Waterford, Clare, Armagh, Wicklow and Cork gathered at Lawlor's Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare.  They contacted the Naas Gardai, dressed up in their protest uniforms, demand fliers and placards, and marched to the offices of the Solicitors Liam Moloney & Co. in support of Mr. Robert Rowe, who is a victim of appalling injustices suffered by him from a number of crooked solicitors over a period of many years.

Robert Rowe's demand was the handover of his files and money, in honesty, truth and justice.

In less than an hour after the start of our peaceful protest, Robert Rowe was served with a sealed envelope which contained the following script.

"Re You & Thomas & Lillian Rowe

Dear Mr. Rowe,

I refer to previous correspondence in connection with the above matter.

I note that you are currently picketing my office. I am astounded at your actions. Please note that unless you immediately desist from carrying out these actions I will have no alternative but to make an immediate application to the High Court for an Injunction restraining you from doing so. I also note that you have made defamatory comments about me and furthermore unless you undertake to immediately refrain from making such comments the appropriate proceedings will be issued against you without further notice.

Please note that in such an eventuality this letter shall be produced in Court in support of an application for the payment by you for all legal costs arising therefrom.

Yours Faithfully,

P.P. Malone & Co.

Liam Moloney

Solicitor"

After reading this letter, and a brief discussion with his supporters, many of whom were destroyed by Perjury, Forgery, Fraud, Deception, Collusion, Coercion and Corruption of the most appalling strains imaginable by members of the thuggish element of the Irish Legal Profession. The unanimous decision was to exercise our rights under Article 40 of our Irish Constitution, and the European Charter on Human Rights.

Badgers are blamed for the new surge in the spread of tuberculosis, but there is no hard evidence to substantiate this. However, there is documented evidence of the names and addresses of the land grabbing, money laundering fraudsters in the Irish Legal Profession, who by their silence, the Irish State have, and are protecting. We are constantly reminded that the Minister for Finance Mr. Brian Cowan told the Law Society that they have nothing to fear from Fianna Fail (Corruption is the name of the game).

As the protest went on, concern and excitement was gathering momentum with who we were told were two solicitors from the office of Liam Moloney & Co. - a lady and a gentleman. There were many photographs taken by the lady solicitor from all angles.

Almost every vehicle and person stopped and accepted our leaflets, and listened to our stories. It was better than a day at the Races, so peaceful, so friendly, so relaxing, so many well wishers. So many people who were so disappointed that our protests had not happened many years ago.

After the passing of about a half hour, Robert Rowe received a call on his mobile phone from the BIG CHIEF himself, who we were told was up in the High Court in Dublin. There was a lengthy confab between Robert Rowe and his Solicitor Liam Moloney, to which we turned off our loudspeaker and listened to. The end game was that the files and money be handed over. It was then agreed that this will happen on Friday next 18th May 2007 at 9.00 a.m.

Having taken Solicitor Liam Moloney at his word, we decided to pack our belongings and leave in peace to await the outcome which may throw some light on the honesty or otherwise, of the Solicitor Liam Moloney, Naas, County Kildare, Ireland.

Robert Rowe and a small group of witnesses will attend at Naas on Friday the 18th May 2007 to witness the hand over of his files and money.

Press Release, 15 November 2007

The launch of the new VLPS caravan took place outside the Cork City courthouse yesterday. This caravan will tour the 32 counties of Ireland, stopping for a few hours in each town to expose offending solicitors using a loudspeaker. Local victims of the legal profession will be able to get information and support.
See more photos - 1, 2, 3.

Five members of the Victims of the Legal Profession from Dublin, Mayo, Clare and Roscommon left Bunratty at 5.30am on the 14th or November 2007 to drive to Washington St. Courthouse in Cork City to meet up with others from West Cork and Cork City on our first outing with our newly decorated Caravan.

On our arrival at 7.40am we parked our Caravan as close to the entrance of the Courthouse as we possibly could, this was not too difficult as there were very few others around.

Within minutes of us getting out of the car we were approached by a French national (a young lady) and after she had read all of the writings on the sides, front and back of the caravan, the young lady asked why do you have to do this and after we had explained to her the extent of the corruption by the Legal Profession including Solicitors, Barristers and Judges in Ireland with no place to turn to for redress. The good lady told us that she knew all about this corruption in Ireland. She told us that she had to go to work and hoped that we would be there when she returned from work at 6pm.

The interest in what we had displayed (the letters, writings and photographs) was beyond our wildest dreams, an interest by all walks of life, young, old, students and foreign visitors from many countries. A new reality was born outside Washington Street Courthouse on the 14/11/2007 that lasted nine and a half hours, a reality that we hope will never die, a reality that we hope will be taken to every town and village in Ireland, to continue until Irish legal tyranny ceases, i.e. the theft of money, property, and the destruction of family life, health and wellbeing by the criminal element of the Legal and Judicial System by Perjury, Criminal Deception and Corruption.

It was suggested to us (The Victims of the Legal Profession) in 2001 that we would have an uphill struggle to decriminalise the Legal Profession, yet slowly but surely without bombs or bullets we have infiltrated the most secretive corrupt organisation in Ireland with devastating effect. We can say with certainty that in all departments of Government where money and property is concerned and where there is corruption, that we have uncovered with the aid of honest internal information that the Legal Mafia are the instigators and perpetrators of almost all the problems and corruption that are prevalent in Irish society today.

Our message is clear, corruption is no longer tolerated from the legal and judicial profession. We are on a nationwide tour of every town and village in Ireland and we expect the same show of courage and interest as we had in Washington Street Courthouse in Cork City on the 14/11/2007.

If your Solicitor has wronged you and is holding onto your money, property, will or any other papers we will assist you in any way possible within the law to recover your property.

John Gill, V.L.P.S.

Press Release, 13 December 2007

A small group of victims of the legal profession went to the Law Society in Blackhall Place, Dublin on the 10th of December 2007. The Law Society was holding an emergency meeting of its union members from all over Ireland to deal with the crisis of the theft of 100 million euro from banks and other lending institutions by crooked solicitors.

The fact is that the amounts of money and property stolen by solicitors from the most vulnerable people in Ireland is even greater than the 100 million or so fraudulently obtained from the banks, but in Ireland the situation is such that ordinary people have very few rights under what is described as deValera's Constitution. At the gate of Dail Eireann, a senior politician asked if it all came as a surprise to us, the victims of legal and judicial corruption, when the State was born of corruption from its inception.

The VLPS group arrived at the front door of the Law Society, the front door of the headquarters and/or Union Hall of Solicitors in Ireland with their mobile wagon, which was recently launched in Cork City in order to expose the extent of the criminal tactics used against vulnerable people by the legal profession, in some cases with the full support of corrupt judges. When the VLPS group had parked the mobile wagon in a legal parking space on public ground, they left some prepared documents at the desk of the entrance hall and proceeded to hold their planned peaceful protest, which they had notified the local Gardai about at Bridewell Garda Station.

The protest continued in peace until sometime after 10 a.m. when the delegates from different counties started to arrive. The VLPS have highlighted their experiences of the criminal conduct of the legal profession on the front, back and sides of their mobile wagon. To many of the delegates, seeing this information out in the open to be read by all seemed to be the greatest shock those high and mighty untouchables ever got. The first time they woke from their slumber since the great Daniel O'Connell, said a Wexford victim.

As some of the delegates got out of their fancy cars and read some of the facts about themselves, it was clear from their body language, even from a distance, that they were livid, furious, angry at what they were seeing. How dare you expose our criminal conduct in public - something has to be done about it!

At this stage, the VLPS members were outside the entrance gates parading up and down with yellow jackets and placards while waiting for more protestors to come up from the country when all of a sudden, a 3-man gang rushed from the entrance door of the Law Society straight for the towbar of the mobile wagon. When they saw, we believe, that there was a chain and padlock fitted, they had a few kicks on the chain lock and towbar and went back inside the building.

Some 45 minutes later, the same three appeared again, this time accompanied by what seemed to be a no-nonsense bully, who went up to the towbar of the mobile wagon and started pulling and dragging at the electric cable and connections to the car, but they were quickly surrounded by a small group of protestors who forced them to withdraw to the Law Society building, though not before they had damaged the lighting system.

Before they were made to abandon their unlawful mission, they threatened the protestors with two counts of illegal acts, both as we understand it, to do with trespass on private property. On the other hand, they refused to answer any questions about the criminal behaviour of corrupt members of their Union. Like most of the rules which are biased in their favour, public property can become private if it suits them.

Some time later, we observed the supposed pillars of society in conversation with two members of the Gardai. The Gardai told us that we were on private property and asked us to move. We agreed, and explained how our private property and money was stolen by members of the legal profession.

We left the public/private forecourt of the crooks who destroyed our livelihoods and went on a one and a half hour tour of Dublin City to expose corruption, and got next to no support from the people of Dublin before returning for another two hours outside the headquarters of our number one corrupt profession.

On the following day, we took our mobile wagon to an electrical contractor near the Meath border and got everything working for another day at an emergency meeting of Dail Eireann who were meeting to put an end to self-regulation of the legal profession and form an Independent Commission to deal with such white collar crime as, for example, a legal advisor to the Bank of Ireland accepting bribes of stolen money from other solicitors knowing that the money was stolen and becoming part and parcel of the cover-up.

The VLPS mobile wagon is on the move to expose legal corruption throughout the country.

Letter from a Solicitor, 14 December 2006

Dear Mr Gill

I refer to the above matter and to my previous correspondence and since that I have had an opportunity to read through the postings on the website by your members and I must say that if even quarter of it was true then it would represent a very serious situation warranting government intervention.

My suggestion is simple, that is that you should press for the establishment of the office of "Public Solicitor" as opposed to State Solicitor to be set up in Dublin and ultimately in the provinces depending on the need or demand, and such an Officer would take your members' complaints, act exclusively for your members and run them through the legal process as a normal court case. Being a Solicitor he would be free to appear himself besides being an Ombudsman having to appoint someone else to plead your case.

I can't think what else would better address your members' complaints or get them a quicker result.

To: The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform Michael McDowell, T.D.

Dear Mr McDowell,

The above letter comes from an Irish Solicitor and is one of five from Irish Solicitors who have given similar support for our Victims. We have also been contacted by two from England and Wales, two from the USA, one from Canada and one from Mauritius. Most people including the ten Solicitors and Barristers are shocked at how corrupt our Legal and Judicial System and now our Court Services are.

Minister, we are beginning a series of protests after Christmas for as long as it takes to demand our rights, our money and property, our Wills and our Land Certificates. We are serious, expect to meet us on the campaign trail.

John Gill and members from all counties.

PRESS RELEASE: THE EXTENT OF IRISH CORRUPTION, 23 June 2008

It has come to our attention that VLPS members Daniel and Elva Gallagher who have already experienced Northern Circuit justice from the same judge, Mr Justice John O'Hagan, who refused to act upon the fraud, perjury and corruption brought to his attention by Larry Sweeney, are now experiencing the same difficulties with the Garda Siochana that Larry Sweeney did.

The Garda decide themselves what crimes they investigate, if any, and if a crime is committed by one of their mates then this crime will not be investigated. Furthermore, the victims of the crime, for posting it on the internet, now face the very real threat of intimidation just like the McBrearty family did. Larry Sweeney, when he reported a crime in Dun Laoghaire garda station also had the hatch shut in his face after being assaulted by a garda thug. This crime was reported, a statement made and nothing ever heard of it again. Why not???

The Irish media have a duty to tell the truth to the public and we in the VLPS have such a catalogue of evidence of corruption going from solicitors through Gardai up to the DPP and on to the courts, judges and court staff, yet the media refuse to inform the public of the extent and depth of this corruption. A broken chain and lock as per the Gallaghers' experience, which can be read on our case histories, might sound like a trivial matter but it is horribly indicative of the attitude and approach of the so-called authorities when dealing with anybody who dares rock their corrupt little boat.

Finally, Larry Sweeney still awaits communication from the new Garda Ombudsman in connection with the complaint he made, however it would appear that the new Ombudsman is not really so new, rather a rehashed Garda Complaints Board, and the merry-go-round continues.

OPEN LETTER TO DERMOT AHERN, MINISTER FOR JUSTICE, 5 June 2008

Dear Sir, we in the VLPS are in possession of evidence relating to fraud, theft, perjury and corruption in the judiciary at the highest level. We invite you to set up a meeting as a matter of urgency with the VLPS in order that we can present you with our findings. The case of the Mescall family has time and again been highlighted by ourselves, you have a unique opportunity to demonstrate that the ol' stroke no longer applies in Ireland, or perhaps it does and the dodgy solicitor here and there must be protected as he is one of the boys.

We have evidence of corruption in the office of the DPP, surely that must interest you because sooner or later somebody will grasp the nettle of corruption, let it be you sir. We once again ask you to step in immediately and not stand idly by while a corrupt court robs an Irish citizen of his property and rights. Unless the Irish State immediately offers compensation to the Mescall family, we will continue to demonstrate to the world how the corrupt Irish State sullies human rights to benefit the corrupt elite, the dodgy solicitors and sham judges that grace the so called Judicial Circuit of Ireland. We await your reply, Mr Ahern.

We have often been asked by members if we knew of any other people having difficulties with the same solicitor as themselves. We do of course appreciate that people would want to co-operate in cases like this, because complaints made by several people at once would be more believable than those of just one person.

To facilitate this we are now publishing the names of solicitors that we received this type of inquiry about. If you have had (or still have) difficulties with them, please contact the VLPS by phone or letter to John Gill, or by email to lawyercatcher@lawyer.com. You will then be put into contact with your fellow victim(s). You can also ask for the name of your solicitor to be published here if you want to find other victims of that particular person.
